Polyolefin Color Masterbatches

The Polyolefin Color Masterbatches Series is developed for PE-, PP- and EVA-based products that require stable color, good dispersion and consistent processing performance. The range includes PE carrier masterbatch 50M, PP carrier masterbatch 20M and EVA carrier masterbatch 40M.

Colors can be customized according to customer samples or target color requirements. The series is suitable for common extrusion and molding applications in wire and cable, packaging, protective materials, daily-use products and other polyolefin products, subject to final formulation and application validation.

50M - PE Color Masterbatch
50M uses PE as the carrier resin and is intended for PE-based formulations where carrier compatibility and color uniformity are the primary selection considerations. It can be customized in different colors according to the customer's target shade and end-product requirements.
20M - PP Color Masterbatch
20M is the PP-carrier option for PP-based products. It is selected when the main resin system is polypropylene and the customer requires a compatible color concentrate with stable appearance and processing consistency.
40M - EVA Color Masterbatch
40M uses EVA as the carrier resin and is suited to EVA-containing formulations where good compatibility and color dispersion are required. It provides an additional carrier option for flexible polyolefin systems and customized color development.

Technical note: The catalogue provides common masterbatch quality indicators rather than separate technical values for 50M, 20M and 40M. The same series specification is therefore applied to all three grades, with weather resistance standardized at Grade 5-8.

• ΔE ≤ 1.0: controls color deviation against the approved reference.
• Migration resistance Grade 4-5: supports color stability where transfer or bleeding needs to be controlled.
• Weather resistance Grade 5-8: provides a unified specification for applications with different weathering expectations.
• Moisture ≤ 0.15%: supports stable processing and surface quality.
• Environmental compliance: confirm the exact requirement according to the customer's industry and final application.

Because the general quality indicators are shared, the most important product-selection difference is the carrier resin. Matching PE, PP or EVA carrier chemistry with the customer's base formulation helps improve dispersion, processing compatibility and final color consistency.

The masterbatch should be selected according to the base resin and end-product processing route. Recommended addition ratio depends on target color depth, resin system, opacity and customer appearance requirements, so the final dosage should be confirmed through production trials.

Recommended Evaluation Procedure

• Confirm PE, PP or EVA as the target carrier / base resin.
• Provide a target color sample or recognized color reference.
• Define the processing method, such as extrusion or molding.
• Run a small-scale color-matching and dispersion trial.
• Check color difference, surface appearance and migration behavior on the actual product.
• Lock the approved sample as the reference for production batches.
