EPC6926 is a B1-class flame-retardant low smoke zero halogen cable compound developed for communication cables, especially thin-wall communication cable constructions. The material provides excellent flame retardancy while maintaining low heat release and a low heat release rate, supporting B1-class fire-performance cable designs where reduced smoke and zero-halogen characteristics are required.

 

As a thermoplastic HFFR communication cable material, EPC6926 can be used for low-smoke halogen-free communication cable sheathing, data and signal cable outer layers, and other thin-wall cable applications requiring strong flame-retardant performance. Its combination of LSZH characteristics, an oxygen index of 48% and controlled smoke performance makes it suitable for fire-safety-oriented communication cable constructions subject to final cable evaluation.

EPC6926 can be processed on conventional cable extrusion equipment. A low-compression-ratio screw and head are recommended, with a compression ratio of approximately 1:1–1:2. Keep the melt temperature below 165°C and not above 175°C.

Adjust the extrusion conditions according to cable structure, equipment configuration, screw design and actual melt condition.

For special extrusion equipment, thin-wall communication cable structures or processing conditions, please contact our technical team for processing guidance.

Final processing parameters should be confirmed through production trials under the customer's actual extrusion conditions.
