Product Overview
EPC9555-FM is a mildew-resistant irradiation cross-linked low smoke zero halogen flame-retardant cable compound developed for military shipboard and naval vessel cable applications. It is designed to meet the sheathing material requirements of GJB 1916-94 and the mildew-resistance requirements of GJB 150.10A, while providing oil resistance and halogen-free fire-safety performance.
As an electron-beam cross-linked HFFR polyolefin material, EPC9555-FM combines mechanical durability, ASTM No. 2 oil resistance and resistance to fungal growth for demanding marine environments. The irradiated XLPO compound is suitable for naval cable jackets, military marine cable sheathing and vessel wiring systems where low smoke, zero halogen, oil-resistant and mildew-resistant performance are required.

EPC9555-FM can be processed on conventional PVC/PE extrusion equipment. Electron-beam irradiation is applied after extrusion to complete cross-linking.
Keep the melt temperature below 165°C and do not exceed 175°C during extrusion.
A low-compression screw and head are recommended, with a compression ratio of approximately 1:1–1:2.
