When selecting products for procurement, it is essential to verify model specifications, performance, certifications, patents, and past project references. Model verification involves ensuring that fire-rated cables bear the appropriate fire-resistance markings and prioritizing low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) products for densely populated areas. Performance verification entails checking that fire-resistant cables specify temperature ratings and circuit integrity durations, and that LSZH products are supported by smoke density test reports. Certification verification requires confirming CCC and ISO system certifications, as well as specialized certifications (such as CCS, mining-grade, or nuclear-grade) where industry-specific requirements apply. Patent verification involves reviewing patents related to fire resistance, environmental protection, and safety. Project reference verification requires examining supply records for similar applications to assess product suitability and stability.

Understand the markings: Pay attention to cable model designations such as WDZA-YJY or WDZN-YJY. Here, "WD" stands for low-smoke, zero-halogen; "Z" indicates flame retardancy; "A" denotes the flame-retardant grade (with Class A being the highest); and "N" indicates fire resistance.

Check certifications: Select products that hold ISO9001 quality management system certification, ISO14001 environmental management system certification, and the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark to ensure reliable quality.

Request reports: Ask the manufacturer to provide third-party test reports, paying close attention to indicators such as flame-retardant properties, smoke density, halogen acid gas emission, pH value, and conductivity.
